St. Paul’s Lutheran

FOUNDED IN 1837, SAINT PAUL’S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH is the second oldest Lutheran congregation in Indiana and the oldest in the northern part of the state. The current building was first completed and dedicated in 1889, designed by the firm Wing & Mahurin in the High Victorian Gothic style. A fire in 1903 almost destroyed the church, and it took two years to rebuild the structure back to the level of its original glory. Since the reconstruction, the church has been continuously used by the congregation for nearly one hundred and twenty years.

This historic documentation thoroughly recorded the building through a combination of measured drawings and CAD documentation, followed by hand-rendered presentation drawings.
